The NKBA launches its redesigned logo to reflect the vitality of the kitchen and bath industry and the strength of the association
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - Reflecting its importance in an industry completely familiar with upgrades and makeovers, the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) introduced its new "remodeled" logo today. The new and improved NKBA logo ushers in an exciting phase in the kitchen and bath industry.
With efforts focused on increasing consumer awareness of the benefits of remodeling, the NKBA's new, upgraded logo stands as a strong representation of the association's image. The letters are clean, timeless and bold, a straightforward announcement of the kitchen and bath association's growth and strength. The wave flowing through the acronym represents water, a central theme that unites the kitchen and bath segments.
"I believe the new NKBA logo portrays the association's position as the forward-thinking leader of the industry. Its bold and powerful design strengthens the NKBA's presence as the authority on kitchens and baths. This new look will engage in-market consumers as well as potential trade members. It proudly represents the message we wish to send as the representative for thousands of industry professionals," said Bob Garner, CMKBD, 2007 President of the NKBA.
The NKBA's rich history played a key role in developing the new logo. The NKBA was originally founded in as the American Institute of Kitchen Dealers (AIKD), in 1963, and served primarily as a networking forum for kitchen dealers across the industry. The seal-like logo offered a professional, trade-focused image and an institutional impression, and the focus of the logo was the K for kitchen. In 1983, the brand was updated to reflect the broadening membership of the association and better represent the kitchen and bath industry, and the new NKBA acronym was introduced.
In 1999, the tagline "The Finest Professionals in the Kitchen & Bath Industry" was added to the logo, which included the NKBA acronym and the complete name of the association, promoting consumer and industry awareness of the NKBA as the premier source for professional products and services. The new NKBA logo retains the strong acronym of the association, which appears in a powerful, bold typeface, and "The Kitchen & Bath Professionals" tagline distinguishes the Association and its members from other organizations.
"The new logo takes the NKBA to the next level. As the authority in the kitchen and bath industry, the NKBA helps our members reach their highest goals, and this logo's bold look reflects that. As we continue to gain members and offer more resources, our new mark will show both kitchen and bath professionals, as well as consumers, that we are continuing to raise the bar for our industry," said Michael Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of the NKBA.
The NKBA is the only trade association dedicated exclusively to the kitchen and bath industry and is the leading source of information and education for consumers and professionals alike. Celebrating more than 40 years, the NKBA, an international non-profit organization, has educated and led the kitchen and bath industry since 1963.
The "remodeled" logo is one of the many ways that the NKBA continues to evolve and excel in increasing national recognition and publicity and providing leadership and direction for one of the fastest-growing industries in North America.
