Hackettstown, N.J. (February 1, 2008) - The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) today announced it will be offering its members educational seminars on controlling the cost of credit/debit/prepaid card acceptance. Industry experts from Heartland Payment Systems, one of the nation's largest payments processors, will educate attendees about card processing - including data security and PCI compliance. The seminars will be available at no cost to all of the NKBA's 71 local chapters throughout the United States and Canada.
Heartland is the NKBA's preferred credit/debit/prepaid card and payroll processor. As such, the NKBA recommends Heartland to its 41,000 members, which include kitchen and bath designers, dealers, manufacturers, installers, distributors and others. Heartland is a NKBA business member.
"This partnership with Heartland Payment Systems provides NKBA members with the opportunity to reduce their operating costs, while also giving members the information they need to process transactions and payroll more efficiently and securely," said Don Sciolaro, the NKBA's director of member services.
Heartland offers NKBA members the opportunity to save time, worry and money in processing their credit/debit/prepaid cards and payroll. Heartland's simple pricing structure is easy to understand and includes fully disclosed fees, a three-year rate guarantee and reduced traditional processor fees.
Additionally, Heartland helps business owners navigate the complexity of managing card acceptance programs with local consultative teams of over 1,600 relationship managers and servicing managers; 24/7/365 live customer support; industry-specific, state-of-the-art technology products; and online access to detailed transaction account information. NKBA members are welcome to call for a free, no obligation consultation at (866) 976-7207.
"Processing fees have always been somewhat mysterious to most business owners. More often than not, they are unnecessarily complex and contain hidden costs," said Dennis Carpenter, Heartland's director of association alliances. "With our simplified pricing program and easy-to-read statements, you don't need to be a mathematician to figure out what you're paying in processing fees anymore. And, there are no hidden costs."
Heartland is the founding supporter of The Merchant Bill of Rights, a public advocacy initiative that educates merchants about fair credit and debit card processing practices. For more information, visit: www.MerchantBillOfRights.com.
