New Logo - A Brand New Beginning.
The National Kitchen & Bath Association is proud to unveil its restyled new logo. This bold, impressive logo meets the major goals set forth for the new NKBA brand image. The new mark serves to bridge the gap between consumers and the trade with a fresh, classic look that presents a clean, modern impression. It serves as a powerful representation of NKBA Membership as the authority in the kitchen and bath industry. It defines a clear position for the NKBA as the association that consumers can trust and trade professionals can depend on. The Association has created a logo just for our important future professionals, the NKBA Student Member Logo.

NKBA Student Member Logo and its uses
The Student Member NKBA logo is only to be used by student members in good standing who are currently enrolled in a college, university or an NKBA Accredited or Supported Program. Student Members may not use the primary NKBA logo (visit the Incorrect Usage section of the Brand Standards Manual for more details). The NKBA recommends this logo as ideal for usage on business cards, student resumes, projects and other materials where promotion of membership is beneficial.

The NKBA Amends the Name of NKBA Endorsed Programs
The Association is pleased to announce the recent approval to amend the name of NKBA Endorsed Programs to NKBA Accreditation. Schools that have received accreditation have completed a rigorous process to earn the honor to be one of the dozens of schools across North America that provides kitchen and bath career paths recognized by the National Kitchen & Bath Association.
How Does My School Become an NKBA Accredited School?
The first step in seeking accreditation is to contact Sherylin Doyle, Manager of Academic Relations at the NKBA. She will ask about your school, your major and the contact information for the head of department in which you are studying.
To qualify for accreditation, a school must complete a self study assessment and the NKBA application forms and integrate the body of knowledge found in the nine volumes of the NKBA Professional Resource Library into their curriculum. A formal site visit is then conducted, student work samples are evaluated according to NKBA Standards and one student must graduate from the program. Schools may apply first for a preliminary supported status while they work to accomplish all the requirements.
Why should my school seek NKBA accreditation? There are many benefits of NKBA Accredited Programs to schools, students and professors. Your school will be recognized by potential students, educational institutions and industry members as providing the training essential to be successful in the kitchen and bath industry. If you are a student at an NKBA Supported or Accredited Program, you receive a host of benefits, such as a substantial discount on student membership, member publications and tools, as well as the opportunities to participate as an officer in the NKBA Student Chapter and receive one of many scholarships awarded only to NKBA Accredited Program students. The most important benefit is the opportunity to sit for the NKBA Certification exam at the completion of your education.

NKBA members promote interaction between students and professionals; they volunteer to mentor students, serve as advisors to educational programs, and sponsor a variety of student activities, including career days, competitions, outings and local chapter meeting.
